Welcome to North Fawdon Primary School. We hope that our website gives you lots of useful information and acts as a great window into life here at North Fawdon. We are one of eight schools that form SMART Multi Academy Trust, all situated in the North West of Newcastle. Working collaboratively allows us to share and draw from a wealth of experience, expertise and opportunities.
We are a school that continues to grow from strength to strength due to high quality leadership and teaching and the determination that all pupils will be successful and achieve to the best of their ability.
Our school motto is ‘Learn and explore together, aim high and succeed’.
We are extremely proud of our school’s inclusive and nurturing ethos and our unique whole school approaches devised especially to ensure our children are safe, happy and ready to learn. As you walk through school, core values, life skills, challenge, developing language and attitude to learning is evident and integral throughout. These clear and effective systems are in place whilst each teacher and their class retain their individuality. Click on the tab above to visit our class blogs.
Our curriculum is not only broad, balanced and enjoyable but also relevant to our community and prepares our children with life skills for their journey ahead. Our personalised curriculum ensures every child meets their full potential. We work closely with our families, community partners, Trust members and business partners and deliver cross curricular learning that not only teaches new skills but enables children to apply them in real life contexts. Topics inspire and ignite excitement for learning and a thirst for knowledge.
We have a rapidly growing reputation for effectively supporting all of our families including those with Special Educational Needs and other vulnerabilities. Our relentless focus on supporting children to develop and own effective strategies to overcome their barriers, is often highly praised by external agencies. We feel very privileged to host the only Nurture ARC in Newcastle which supports children aged 4-7 from other Newcastle Schools to access mainstream school in a small group setting.
Parents are essential partners in their children's learning and we seek to promote positive home school relationships to ensure every child thrives. Please contact us if you have any queries or questions via email at email@example.com
With best wishes
Emma Elliott, Headteacher
